PROFESSIONAL I OPPORTUNITY


Position Duties: Assists in civil engineering projects by performing the following duties: Prepares design computations and quantity estimates. Assists in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects. Assists in the analysis of reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design project. Assists in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules and design calculations for project. Reviews construction site to monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents. Serves as onsite project representative. Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents for civil engineering projects.

Requirements: Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Knowledge of geotechnical and foundation engineering. Knowledge of geology as it relates to engineering. Experience or coursework with numerical modelling of soil-structure systems using finite element software such as PLAXIS, Slope/W, Settle 3D or OpenSees. Experience with or knowledge of seismic analysis. Knowledge of AutoCAD REVIT and AutoCAD. Experience with cost estimation, construction scheduling and construction monitoring.
