Champlain Hudson Power Express Trenchless Crossings Win Project-of-the-Year

The HDD installations for the Champlain Hudson Power Express (CHPE) project were recently named the Project-of the-Year by Trenchless Technology Magazine. The overall project alignment extends 339 miles from the U.S.-Canadian border to Queens, NY, and brings renewable power directly into the New York Metro area. Brierley Associates was responsible for design of approximately 30 of the HDD crossings, including a 5,100-ft long installation below the East River, which was constructed in bedrock.  This was an extremely complex and challenging project made possible by the diligence and teamwork of the project team.  Special kudos to Kiewit for their vision and management of this remarkable effort!
