Brierley Associates is seeking qualified candidates to support our heavy civil design efforts associated with “creating underground space”.

Requirements
- BS (MS preferred) in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical engineering (or an applicable related field)
 - 5+ Years of experience
 - Candidates must be highly motivated and possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. The ability to multi-task and work under strict deadlines is essential
 - PE designation in any state, with the ability to obtain a Minnesota PE through reciprocity/committee or once the appropriate qualifications are met (i.e. additional experience requirements, passing the PE exam, etc.) within six months of hiring.
 - Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments and priorities
 - Willingness to work in the field and travel, including to other Brierley offices and projects sites, for short-term assignments
 - Valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation
 
Responsibilities include:
- Design of tunnels, underground structures, and geohazard solutions to address problems such as slope stability rockfall mitigation, embankment stabilization, erosion, etc.
 - Experience with other aspects of civil engineering is considered an asset (i.e. roadway design, hydraulics and hydraulic structures, pipe design, etc.)
 - Development of concepts and preparation of sketches based on provided information and constraints
 - Performing construction management/oversite of projects
 - Prepare design calculations, reports and supervise creation of CAD/BIM drawings
 - Assist in development of design budgets and schedules and effectively manage time and effort to maintain budgets and schedules
 - Construction site visits to gather information or observe ongoing work
 - Representing the Company in professional, technical, and business organizations
